01 — The Concept

Turning two smartphones into a shared octagon.

Two users synchronize their smartphones to battle in real-time. By leveraging the device's accelerometer and gyroscope, the system captures actual fighting movements—jabs, blocks, and clinches—translating them into immersive virtual combat.

This is more than a game; it is a digital extension of the UFC experience. It empowers fans to challenge friends in a physical arena, using their own bodies as the primary controllers.

02 — Design Decisions

Visual language with impact

Sharp angles, dynamic layouts, and a high-contrast palette of deep blacks were strategically chosen to reflect the visceral intensity and raw energy of the UFC arena.

03 — App Interface

04 — Game Mechanics

Motion capture mechanics

Jabs & Hooks

Direct punches are detected via the device's accelerometer, enabling multi-hit sequences to be recorded and translated in real-time.

Uppercuts

Vertical movements are precisely measured by the gyroscope, allowing for high-damage impact detection within the combat engine.

Defense

Timed defensive movements reduce incoming damage, requiring tactical physical positioning and real-world agility from the user.

05 — Competitive System

Competitive ranking

Every victory contributes to a permanent global ranking, fostering a persistent competitive ecosystem. Users compete not just against friends, but against the entire AirFight community to establish their dominance in the digital octagon.
